Question 1

I don't know anything about home repair. Will this actually help me?

Accepted Answer

Hope can help you review a written scope, point out unclear details, and suggest questions to ask. Her AI estimate is a starting point, not independently verified local pricing.

Question 2

What if I'm doing this alone — no partner, no family nearby to ask?

Accepted Answer

You can bring Hope a quote, a home-system concern, or a question about what to do next. She offers AI guidance in plain language; you stay in control of the decision.

Question 3

Do I need any technical knowledge?

Accepted Answer

No. Paste the quote, review the details Hope extracts, and confirm the job scope before an AI estimate is offered. The estimate can be incomplete or wrong.

Question 4

What if I've already signed the contract?

Accepted Answer

You can still use a scope summary and AI estimate to prepare questions about change orders or included work. The estimate is not a verified local benchmark or a substitute for reviewing your agreement.

Question 5

Is there any commitment?

Accepted Answer

No commitment. The anonymous quote checker is free and does not require a card or account; it allows up to five new quote checks per hour.

Question 6

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

Timing varies with the quote details. Hope first extracts the job scope for you to review and confirm; an AI estimate is shown only when the result passes the reliability checks.

Question 7

What's free and what's Premium?

Accepted Answer

Free includes quote checks, a daily home brief, Hope text chat, DIY guidance, contractor matching, and 5 photo diagnoses per month. The anonymous quote checker has a five-checks-per-hour limit; account usage rules may differ. Premium ($9.99/mo or $79/yr) adds Hope voice, unlimited photo diagnoses, and advanced what-if scenarios.

Question 8

How accurate is it?

Accepted Answer

Hope provides an AI-generated estimate only after you confirm the job scope. The quote workflow does not provide an independently verified local benchmark or dated regional source. Estimates can be wrong; when the result is not reliable enough, Hope withholds a verdict.

Question 9

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel at any time, and paid access continues through the end of the current billing period. Data retention follows our Privacy Policy.
